Lift Log Privacy

How Lift Log handles training records, Apple Health, device features, optional backups, and support requests. The effective date and final policy commitments still need owner review.
Lift Log Privacy Policy
Private review draft—not yet effective.
This page describes the current Lift Log implementation. The effective date and remaining owner commitments are under review; support-email retention has been confirmed. The separate question about health-related records in iCloud backups has not been resolved with Apple.
Updated October 12, 2026. Effective date: to be set when the policy is published.
1. Who we are
Lift Log is provided by The Collextion. This policy explains how the iPhone app, Apple Watch companion, widgets, and complications handle information. For privacy questions, contact support@thecollextion.com.
2. Information you keep in Lift Log
Lift Log stores training information locally on your device, including routines, workout sets, weights and repetitions, training plans, goals, body measurements, progress photos, profile photos, private notes, saved reports, dated nutrition targets and notes, and posing photos and videos with their dates and notes. Coaching profiles keep each person’s records separate within the app; they are not online accounts. Optional report branding stores the business name and logo you choose.
We do not operate a Lift Log account service or a developer server that receives these records during ordinary use. The current app contains no advertising or third-party tracking or analytics SDK. Training charts, nutrition trends, and calorie estimates are calculated within the app.
3. Apple Health
Apple Health integration is optional and requires your permission. Lift Log can read recent daily step totals for your personal activity view and write eligible completed strength workouts and waist measurements to Apple Health. Step totals are not added to coaching profiles or included in Lift Log training backups.
Lift Log does not send your Apple Health records to our support inbox automatically or use them for advertising. You can change permissions in Apple’s Health settings. Disabling integration stops future access through those permissions; information already written to Apple Health may need to be removed separately.
4. Apple Watch, widgets, and complications
The iPhone and paired Apple Watch exchange the information needed to show a workout, edit and complete sets, display rest timing, and show personal nutrition targets with their effective date. Widgets and complications can show personal training summaries, such as a weekly goal, monthly workout count, and next planned workout. Home Screen widgets can also show personal nutrition targets and the latest posing practice date. These personal displays exclude client targets and posing captures; posing photos and videos are not shown in widgets. These features use local shared storage and Apple’s device connection services, rather than a developer-operated training server.
Information displayed on a watch face, widget, or shared report may be visible to someone who can see that screen. You can remove those displays using the device’s customization controls.
5. Optional iCloud backups
If you choose to create a Lift Log backup, the app writes a backup file to your Apple iCloud Drive account. The current backup can include personal and coaching profile records, workouts, routines, plans, measurements, notes, photos, saved reports, dated nutrition targets, posing photos and videos, branding, and preferences. Backup and restore are separate from continuous live synchronization.
We do not receive a copy of this backup through a developer server or have access to your personal iCloud Drive account through the app. Apple operates the iCloud service under its own terms and privacy practices. Backups may remain after local records are deleted and must be managed separately in iCloud. Replacing a backup or restoring an older backup can affect which version of your information is available.
Private review draft—not yet effective. Continued: sections 6–10.
6. Photos, videos, imports, and sharing
Photos you choose for profiles, progress tracking, or branding, and photos or videos you add to posing practice, are stored locally for those features. Lift Log does not analyze profile photos to identify you using facial recognition. Supported imports are processed by the app to create local records.
When you export a routine, report, or other supported content, you choose the sharing destination. That destination or recipient may retain its own copy under its own privacy practices. Reports may include nutrition summaries and the progress photos you choose when you enable Then and Now. Review the selected profile, photos, and sharing destination before exporting. Exported files are not automatically sent to The Collextion. Avoid sharing private client information without appropriate permission.
7. Contact Support
Contact Support lets you describe a problem and open an email draft addressed to support@thecollextion.com. The draft includes your issue description, Lift Log version and build, general device type, and operating-system version. It does not automatically attach workouts, body measurements, photos, videos, nutrition targets, private notes, or client records.
You review and send the message yourself. If you send it, we receive its contents and the sender details supplied by your email service, which may include your name and email address. Share Support Details lets you choose another destination. Information you voluntarily add to a message or attachment is also disclosed to that recipient.
We use support information to respond to requests and diagnose reported problems. We keep support emails and attachments only as long as needed to handle your request and necessary follow-up, or longer when required to meet applicable obligations. You may contact us to request deletion. Email providers process messages under their own terms. We do not use support messages for targeted advertising or sell them.
8. Purchases and Apple diagnostics
Report Branding is an optional one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Lift Log checks purchase entitlement and restore status using StoreKit. We do not receive your payment card details through the app.
Apple may provide crash reports, beta feedback, and aggregate app information through its developer services according to your Apple settings and the service you use, including TestFlight. Lift Log does not include a separate crash-reporting SDK or automatically attach crash logs to support emails.
During backup recovery, Lift Log writes local diagnostic messages identifying the stage of the operation, technical error codes, and file-discovery counts. These recovery messages do not contain backup contents, training records, photos, private notes, Apple Account details, or full file paths. They are not automatically emailed to The Collextion.
9. Retention and your choices
Local records generally remain until you delete them or remove the app. Lift Log’s deletion features remove the relevant local records and associated app-managed files; deleting local data does not necessarily remove copies in Apple Health, iCloud, exported files, recipients’ systems, or device backups.
You can control Apple Health permissions, notification permissions, optional backup use, sharing destinations, and the information you include in support messages. If you manage coaching profiles, you are responsible for having permission to store and share those people’s information.
10. Security and changes
Lift Log uses Apple’s app storage, permission, and device communication facilities. Protect your devices and Apple Account, and take care when sharing reports or photos. No storage or communication method can be guaranteed secure in every circumstance.
We may update this policy when features or practices change. The published page will identify its effective date. For questions or privacy requests, email support@thecollextion.com.
Owner review — not part of the public policy
Support retention is confirmed: correspondence is kept only as needed for the request and necessary follow-up, or longer when required by applicable obligations. Before publication, confirm the provider name, support address, effective date, deletion-request handling, and no-sale practices. Resolve Apple’s guidance on iCloud backup contents; describing the feature does not establish approval. Align the in-app text, privacy manifest, and App Privacy answers with the final policy. Current support disclosures are Name, Email Address, Customer Support, and Other Diagnostic Data: App Functionality, linked to the sender, and no tracking. Review Apple’s optional-support exception before changing them. This private staging does not publish App Privacy, set a public policy URL, submit an app, or authorize release.
